Birds have become some of my favourite subjects to study and illustrate. My work blends close observation with a warm, character-focused approach, aiming to capture not just how a bird looks, but the feeling of meeting it.

Alongside sketching garden visitors and wild species, I share my home with two cockatiels, Sunny and Yngvi, who inspire my personal studies and keep my sketchbook lively. I create both personal bird pieces and commissioned illustrations, ranging from accurate species portraits to more stylised work. No matter the style, my focus is always on bringing out the individuality of each bird—their behaviour, structure, and the little quirks that make them unmistakably themselves.
